About
Dejan Grba (1967, Serbia) holds an MFA degree in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade where he is currently finishing his PhD project.
He is an assistant professor at the same Faculty teaching Drawing and Transmedia Research courses. He also teaches Poetics of Digital Art course at the Digital Art doctoral program at University of the Arts’ interdisciplinary studies in Belgrade. He was a guest professor at Computer Art Program, CVPA, Syracuse University in 2007.
He mentored Photo-Robot, 2D MutantZombies and Flu_ID projects with exhibitions in Leipzig, Graz, Bucharest, Zagreb and Belgrade.
Dejan Grba’s artistic research is focused on the conceptual, perceptual and technological aspects of visual phenomenology.
He has exhibited internationally at venues including ZKM, Montevideo, <rotor>, Museum in Progress, Atelier als Supermedium, IFA, Museum of Contemporary Art Belgrade, Museum of Contemporary Visual Arts Novi Sad, Dom omladine Gallery and Remont Gallery.
He has been publishing texts and essays on visual arts, and giving public lectures since 1995.
